Vince was born in North Carolina, graduated from school in Virginia, and received a degree in East Carolina University. He grew up with mother and various stepfathers, as his real one had left family. Vincent J. McMahon (his dad) was promoter for Capitol Wrestling Corporation. And at the age of 12, Vince decided to follow the same way.
After the university, he began his career, though his father didn’t approve of it. By 1970s, he became prominent force in his father's company. Then, in 1979, he established his own company Titan Sport together with his wife. By age of 37, the youngest McMahon controlled the Capitol Wrestling Co. from his ailing father.
