Martins scored 18 in 36 appearances, 1 goal in 2 matches.

Individual:

- Confederation of African Football 'Young Player of the Year' 2003

- Confederation of African Football 'Young Player of the Year' 2004

F.C. Internazionale Milano:

- Serie A - Winner: 2005–06

- Coppa Italia - Winner: 2004–05, 2005–06

- SuperCoppa Italiana - Winner: 2004–05, 2005–06

Newcastle United:

- Intertoto Cup - Winner: 2006–07

YAK is a sucker

Yak is still relevant in the team. he is still trying to get into top form after his long injury lay off due to a lack of consistent run of games. I think he still has something to offer

he is past his prime. Those records are nice overall but yakubu is getting close to over the hill territory. He can't play the role of lone striker anyway

. . . and the blame game continues. Yakubu has i think, 20 goals in 47 international appearances. Thats an average of 1 goal every 2.3 games. which of our strikers currently holds a better record. First African to hit a century of goals in the EPL. Because he missed a sitter yesterday that does not change the fact that he's a good striker. Rooney spuned a sitter today in the game against Slovenia. Torres missed a couple of chances against Honduras, does that change the fact that they are good strikers?
