Studies have shown that when it comes to happiness, to achieve this feeling little by little: a basic standard of living, which involves housing and sufficient products. Everything else is meaningless.

Then why the happiest among us are considered to be the richest?

Herd instinct! It seems to us that the next-generation iPhone, a big car or a branded handbag will make us happier, but this is the most common mistake.

Many rich people feel that they're trapped because their rank are supposed to be happy, but they are actually deeply unhappy and suffer from phobias.

Psychologist Max Pemberton found that rich people often feel unhappy and disadvantaged than poor men.

This is due to many factors: wealth attracts everyone's attention, the wealthy constantly monitor journalists, harassed by paparazzi, their privacy invaded many times more often than in the personal life of ordinary people.

The children of the rich often are addicted to drugs, which ultimately leads to terrible tragedies.

I think there is no such linear dependence. People who have very little can be happy every day getting something common for other people but too expensive or unreachable for them. And I’m sure that there are many people who can buy everything from luxury jewelry to an island are not so happy buying another expensive staff. I consider that having more things which are really needed for you can make you happier. And if you have possibility to buy all what you want but you don’t need it than more things will never bring you more satisfaction. As for me personally things don’t make me happy. But emotions do.
