How Can I Seek Redress From U.k Embassy?

i work with national assembly abuja as a legislative assitant to an honorable member of the house,my salary is# 51,000 and am entitled to #45,000 as my duty tour allowance every 3months,i applied for a u.k tourist visa and i was refused on the allegation that the embassy is not sure if the fund will be made available to me by my boss that gave me a letter of sponsorship, his bank statement with balance of 4million naira, photocopy of his official passport

indicating that am traveling with him as his legislative assistant for period of 10days,

in my application i submitted my 6mnth payslip duly sign and stamped by d clark of the house,my appointment letter, photocopy of my i.d card and my statement of account that has balance of 302,000 so also a letter from university of abuja as am currently running my m.sc pro gramme.

please house advice me what do you think i should do?presently have started borrowing money from people to deposit into my account so that i could at least have like 600k balance as am thinking of reapplying soon.

Why will you boss instruct his lawyer to write the embassy asking why you where refused when they have already given you a decision with the reasons.Tell your boss issuance of a Tourist visa is not a right but a privilage based on the ECOs discreetion on balance of probability.

Your boss should write a cover letter explaining further his intention to sponsor your trip and beg for a reconsideration.OR follow as previously advised by Londoncool and Vicjustice instead of spending another 20% of your month salary to apply for a visa.

Refusal

The situation of your case is what Londoncool has just narated, so, you may reapply if you have that much money to give away to the Embassy. Your boss could have done it for you initially; but now, your best bet is to better your financial situation before re-applying.

I know the money you have in your account is considerably not bad, but believe me, it's just about 1.300 UK Pounds which is kind of ridiculous in the eyes of these well-paid ECOs, and adding more money to make it 600.000 Naira would amount to about 2580 UK Pounds and that would make no difference, rather, you'd be accused of money lodgment which is classified as fraudulent or deceitful attempt to obtain the UK visa and that will automatically result in express refusal.

Except you're being sponsored by your company, otherwise, i advice you to forget about it at least, for now: remember, things are easier when done orderly.

Londoncool, thanks a lot for your concern but are you telling me not to reapply? or what do you think i should do and honestly i have nothing doing in u.k rather than visiting.my boss told me that he has asked his lawyer to write the british embassy on y i was refused when he was the one sponsoring me and he provided all needed documents, all i need is what to do cos i don't want my passport to be stamped the second time.

waiting to hear from you soon.

The trip was not official but personal as i mentioned earlier my boss gave me a letter introducing me as his legislative assistant and that i will be accompanying him to uk and all the expenses will shoulder by him, secondly i dont think u.k embassy in nigeria give room for revisit of cases you can only reapply,

thanks for your concern.

Babalase,

If your application is based on your official capacity,it should have be done formally from your office to the embassy.Morealso,if your application is on a personal application in company of your boss,he should make a letter to that effect and presentation of his bank statement doesn;t expressly state a commitment to your travel expenses.

There is no need to borrow money to deposit in your account because it will raise a suspicion, rather get a letter from your boss stating or claiming responsibilities for your trip.Go back to embassy with the extra document/letter and apply for a review of your application(NOT APPEAL).

Wish you success
