What Papers Do You Need For Car Registration From Cotonou?

What papers do you really need to have for vehicle registration?

Particularly the ones not from NIgerian port?

With this current offensive revenue drive by custom people;it is getting frustrating

with seizure of vehicles every now and then particularly Lagos-Ibadan expressway and even Ife Road.

Guys who know,pls enlighten.

Thanks all. I travelled on Thursday and had a simple but funny experience.

It's a story for another day. Anyway, I came back to Lag with the vehicle safe and sound.

Regards.

If you've money pay your custom duty then. Its not something too bad doing. You can Insult a custom officer then, he would be standing speechless

Kinda Bottom backwards to be picking and chosing where u will drive ur cars when u dont really know. Risk of losing ur car is a bi##h!

Just buy your cars in the right places, and all will be well.

Pay your duties too, regardless of where you're going to be using the car.

thats why i often advice my clients not to go across customs checkpoint when papers of the vehicles are still new and they do not have their original custom papers.customs use that as a revenue to extort as well.they tell u to pay the duty after seizure.but to avoid their harrasements,if you buy a dutable car and you want to be travelling with it often and often, pay the duty.but for non dutable cars, when the car is delivered to you, just make sure that in the next 6months you dont take it across their checkpoint.some can be lucky attimes though.
